Installing Linux

Before you can run Linux you must install it. Mark Brier of the National Computing Centre compares the installation procedure for five Linux distros.

The five distros covered are:

  • Ubuntu 5.10
  • Kubuntu 5.10
  • Fedora Core 4
  • SuSE Linux 10.0
  • Novell Linux Desktop 9
