Getting a Website - Test Everything
By Lasa Information Systems Team
Broken links, problems with HTML, and spelling mistakes undermine the value of your website to its visitors. As you would proof read any publication your organisation produces, you should test your website before launching it.
This section is very short - but the topic is crucially important.
If something on your site doesn’t work, users will lose confidence in it. If people find the site difficult to use, they are less likely to come back again.
Test the site with several different users – if you have widely different groups of users, test the site with several users from each group. If you can, test your site on different computers – with different monitors and/or different browsers. Make sure that every single link and feature works.
This page is one part of a longer document about getting a website. If you want to read through the whole thing, you'll want to start with the Introduction.
If you are reading through all the parts of this document, the next part is Updating and Developing Your Site
